THE NONPROFIT
The Talking Book maintains a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Talking Book Company, est. 2018) where we record overlooked books for indie authors, publishers, university presses and communities in need like The Jewish Braille Institute. This means we depend on your generous donations. Join us by donating just a couple bucks a month. A little bit goes a long way.
WHY WE DO THIS
1. We believe stories make people more empathetic (and we need that now more than ever).
2. Audio is the fastest growing segment in book publishing.
3. There are tons of amazing, weird books with little to no representation in audio.
4. There is a rich, literary history in audiobooks and the spoken word.
5. Audiobooks get more stories in front of new people, not to mention the seeing impaired, the elderly and people with dyslexia.
Your contribution, in any amount, helps us to continue our mission and goes to recording unrecorded books by exciting, and diverse authors who are overlooked by larger audiobook publishers.
